Why Study in Czech Republic?
Introduction:
Czech Republic qualifications have long been known for the high academic standards, and respected throughout the world. European education institutions offer a wide range of courses at technology, business, and nursing level.
Universities:
There are more than 70 universities of which about two-third are private in Czech Republic which offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. University study can lead to the following awards: Undergraduate- Bachelor Degrees, Undergraduate Diplomas, Master Degrees, Nursing and Ploy technical graduate and postgraduate certificates. A recent ranking by the QS world University Rankings®2015/16 shows a total of 10 universities feature in the top 150. The highest ranked university in the Czech Republic, Charles University places in the third in the ranking. QS World University ranking shows Charles University in Prague, Czech Technical University in Prague, Masaryk University, Brno University of Technology, University of Economics, Prague fall among the top 150 Universities in the world.
Tuition Fee & Accommodation:
Tuition fee in Czech Republic starts from EURO 3,000 to 8,000 varied according to courses and Universities/Colleges. A bank balance of around 13 – 15 million or more is also required as proof that one can bear the remaining costs.
Prague is not a city that allows low living costs. But life is generally affordable. The hostel provides shared accommodation to students. Situated in a serene location with ample parking space and easy access to downtown, the hostel also has sports facilities to ensure physical development as well as relaxation of students. Shared flat or double room in a student dorm, where you will have share with another student which costs EUR 250 per month. You have to pay 2-3 EUR for per meal in the canteen. It is also easy and not too much expensive to travel around to neighbour countries by train or bus (15-25 EUR). Tickets for towns in Czech Republic are usually not more than 10 Euros.
Work Prospects:
Students can manage their living expenses through part-time jobs that can be taken up for 20 hours a week and full time during vacations, given that the minimum per hour wage in the country is around 4-5EUROS.
Required Test:
For Czech Republic IELTS/TOFEL is not mandatory. But if IELTS Score is available, minimum overall score 5.0 would be preferred for undergraduate /at least 6.0 would be preferred for post-graduate programs. Without IELTS score the candidate must face the interview/Skype which is conducted by the Colleges/Universities at our office.
